Job Responsibilities

• Develop layout and design drawings from architectural drawings or sketches.
• Communicate with building designers or professionals to clarify blueprints.
• Generate placement plans and identify locations of designs.
• Review and summarize information on products supplied by the company, especially if field modified or damaged, for evaluation and repair drawings.
• Analyze technical data to ensure designs meet specifications.
• Collaborate with technical and engineering personnel for design modifications.
• Analyze plans and diagrams to determine material specifications.
• Write technical descriptions of material qualities and properties.
• Create sketches or arrange for finished drawings or photographs to illustrate materials or assembly sequences.

Must Have (Repeated)

• 3+ years of Wood Truss Designer experience
• Experience with software such as Mitek, Alpine, Eagle Metal, Simpson Strong-tie
