Job Responsibilities

• Develop layout and design drawings from architectural drawings or sketches provided.
• Make phone calls to building designers or professionals to clarify information shown on blueprints.
• Generate placement plans, identifying the location of individual designs.
• Obtain information on products supplied by the company that have been field modified or damaged, and summarize for evaluation and repair drawings.
• Analyze technical data and reports to ensure design meets specifications.
• Confer with technical and engineering personnel and prepare design modifications as needed.
• Analyze plans and diagrams to determine material and construction specifications.
• Write technical descriptions specifying material qualities and properties.
• Draw rough sketches or arrange finished drawings or photographs to illustrate materials or assembly sequences.

• Experience with software such as Mitek, Alpine, Eagle Metal, Simpson Strong-tie
