Job summary

Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (LP Building Solutions) is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to move or store wood stock prior to processing using heavy machinery. The role focuses on safe unloading, feeding logs into ponds, and keeping work areas clean and organized.

Responsibilities include maintenance of equipment, accurate recording in the EAM system, and adherence to safety/environmental policies. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in equipment operation.
• Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities

• Unload log trucks safely and in a timely manner.
• Maintain a steady flow of wood into log ponds.
• Load bark into assigned trucks.
• Assist in log yard cleanup.
• Remove debris from log ponds and maintain a clean work environment.
• Repair and maintain machinery as needed.
• Record detailed maintenance work requests, safety work requests, and daily downtime in the EAM program.
