Job Description Mobile Equipment Operator - $36.60/hour Req Id: 12748 Job Location: Tomahawk Posting Start Date: 9/10/26 Work Environment: Onsite

Job Purpose

Move or store wood stock prior to engineered wood product processing using heavy machinery.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:
  • Unload log truck in a safe and timely manner.
  • Maintain a steady flow of wood into the log ponds.
  • Load bark into assigned trucks.
  • Assist in log yard clean up.
  • Remove debris from log ponds and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Repair and maintain machinery as needed.
  • Record detailed maintenance work requests, safety work requests, and daily downtime in the EAM program.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What do I need to be successful?

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understand and obey all safety policies, standards, and regulations at company, state, and federal levels
  • Recognize and comply with all environmental policies and procedures including spill response, general waste, and wood waste procedures
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Ability to operate all general machines (log handle equipment, front end loader, grader, skid-steer, and dump truck)
  • Advance knowledge of general machine maintenance
  • Ability to utilize EAM software
  • Moderate knowledge of JHA, JSA, Job Processes Maps, and Environmental Management System for this position

Education:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required

Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience in equipment operation.
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
