Job summary

Ryegate Associates seeks a Control Room Operator to run a 22 MW wood-fired boiler and related equipment. You will operate from the DCS control room and on-site as needed, perform rounds, and maintain safe, efficient plant operations.

The role requires reading instruments, interpreting plans, and clear written and verbal communication to keep shifts aligned. A valid driver's license and compliance with safety procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret plans, specs, blueprints, drawings and manuals.
• Must be able to accurately read instruments, gauges, P&ID prints and manuals.
• Must be physically capable of reading alarms and responding to audible signals.
• Experience with safety, environmental and industry procedures is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the facility from the DCS control room and on site as needed.
• Report and communicate information clearly across shifts and management.
• Perform rounds to monitor equipment conditions and ensure safe operation.
• Carry out maintenance tasks and corrective actions as directed by supervision.
• Assist in testing and treating boiler water and cooling system water as required.
• Attend safety, environmental and industry training programs.
