Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Operator to oversee the safe and efficient running of its power facility in Massachusetts. The role requires a Massachusetts Second Class Engineer’s license or higher, or equivalent technical training, with several years of boiler and generating equipment experience.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Massachusetts Second Class Engineer’s license or higher with 3+ years experience on high pressure boilers and electric generating equipment, or equivalent technical training and diploma.
• Proficient reading of meters, gauges, recorders, and annunciators to assess system conditions and take action.
• Ability to adjust temperatures, pressures, flows and levels for plant optimization.
• Conduct surveillance tests and safety checks on operating conditions and logs.
• Monitor pumps, motors, valves, fans, dampers, conveyors, and air pollution control equipment.

Responsibilities

• Control operation of steam generation, condensate, feed water, turbine/generator and associated systems.
• Read instruments to determine operating conditions and respond within procedures.
• Maintain logs and observe for faults; notify supervisor of abnormalities.
• Train other operators on facility systems and steam cycles.
• Monitor and respond to air pollution control equipment and emergency systems.
