Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, part of HCA Healthcare, invites experienced Registered Nurses to join its ER team. The role involves direct patient care, coordination with interdisciplinary staff, and adherence to safety and quality goals.

You will apply the Nursing Process, document care promptly, and contribute to patient safety initiatives. A BSN or ASN and Tennessee RN licensure are required, with BLS certification and ideally Labor and Delivery experience.

Qualifications

• RN must have a degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (BSN or ASN).
• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or equivalent compact State.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• Promote customer service initiatives along with hospital service values.
• Document all patient care in a timely manner.
• Utilize the Nursing Process for individual care to meet the needs of patients.
• Demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
• Promote compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice.Maintains a safe therapeutic environment.Identifiesnursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care whileutilizingan interdisciplinary approach.Participates in performance improvement activities.Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement.

When acting inchargenurserole, registered nursesare responsible forday-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a therapeutic environment.Make staff assignments based on patient need,acuityand the skill of the staff. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff.Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff or patient issues.

• Labor and Delivery Experience Highly Preferred
