Job summary

Lansing Community College is hiring an Assistant Coach for Women's Basketball to support the program’s recruitment and student-athlete development. The role involves teaching basketball skills, coordinating practices and games, and ensuring academic progress while handling team logistics under the athletic director and head coach.

Regular on-campus presence is expected; some evening/weekend work and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basketball fundamentals, training methods, player development and game strategy.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and travel as required by competition and recruiting schedule.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and select student-athletes for the program.
• Provide instruction in basketball skills and techniques and prepare for practices and competitions.
• Monitor student-athlete academic progress and coordinate program operations, including team statistics per MCCAA and NJCAA requirements.
• Assist with scheduling, travel, equipment and related team logistics; represent the College professionally.
