Job summary

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Women’s Services on a full-time night shift. The role involves direct patient care using the nursing process, medication administration, documentation, and collaboration with care teams.

Applicants must hold a Tennessee RN license and an associate degree, with BLS/ACLS/NRP within specified deadlines. BSN is preferred; relocation/licensure updates may be required.

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee license (single-state or compact) and an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Relocating? licensure must be current for new PSOR before employment begins.
• BLS within 7 days of hire, ACLS within 6 months of hire, NRP within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
• Documents patient care given accurately.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to care team, physicians, patients, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines for patient transfer, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates patient/family learning needs and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Acts as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
