Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Women's Services Float Pool Registered Nurse in Austin, TX. You will perform patient assessments, develop and evaluate plans of care, and work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Expect to administer medications, delegate tasks, and support pre/post-operative care with patient education and discharge planning. The role emphasizes collaboration, evidence-based practice, and contribution to nursing initiatives

Qualifications

• RN license/registration required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications to be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and revise a plan of care based on patient response to treatment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to meet patient needs and goals.
• Administer medications and complete treatments per hospital policy.
• Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice.
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient care.
• Distribute education materials to patients and families about care and treatments.
• Facilitate discharge planning in collaboration with the care team.
