Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Women's Services Float Pool Registered Nurse to assess patients, develop plans of care, and deliver high-quality care across the maternity spectrum.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective treatment and seamless patient flow within the women's center. The role emphasizes pre-/post-operative care, patient education, and discharge planning, with a focus on neonatal and maternal health in a high-acuity

Qualifications

• RN license or current license to practice as a registered nurse in Texas
• Degrees: Associate, Bachelor's, Master's, or RN diploma as required for the role
• ACLS and BCLS credentials must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Formulate a plan of care, revise the plan based on patient response, and regularly evaluate effectiveness
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop, evaluate and revise the care plan to meet patient needs
• Administer medications and complete treatments per hospital policy
• Delegate work to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient care
• Distribute education materials to patients and families on care and treatments
• Facilitate discharge planning in collaboration with the care team
