Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital seeks a Women’s Services Community Instructor to identify educational needs, plan and implement patient education programs, and collaborate with Women’s Administration and Patient Navigation in the community. You will evaluate programs and maintain departmental records while pursuing growth opportunities.

The role requires teaching experience in a hospital setting and nursing credentials, with emphasis on labor and delivery knowledge and childbirth education.

Qualifications

• Based on evaluations, recommend new courses or improvements based on feedback received.
• Maintain appropriate certification and annual education requirements as well as opportunities for personal and professional growth.
• Assist with miscellaneous community programs/projects
• Maintaining accurate departmental records related to educational programs is a daily requirement

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing classes for patients and programs.
• Identify educational needs and appropriate programs for patients within the community.
• Evaluate educational programs through formal & informal mechanisms
• Support Women’s Administration and Patient Navigation in education initiatives
