Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• At least two years of maternal-child health experience.

• Lamaze educator certification for Lamaze class assignments.
• IBCLC or CLC certification for breastfeeding class assignments.
• Completion of required instructor orientation and class-specific preparation before teaching independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and teach assigned classes using approved curricula and materials.
• Lead discussions, demonstrations, and skills practice for childbirth and breastfeeding.
• Create a welcoming learning environment and respond to questions within your area of expertise.
• Work with the Community Education Coordinator on scheduling, supplies, and class logistics.
• Share participant feedback and recommendations for improving class content.
