Job summary

The Women's Services Float Pool Registered Nurse at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center within HCA Healthcare assesses patients, develops and revises care plans, and delivers safe, evidence-based nursing across labor, delivery, and postpartum units.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, administer medications, support pre/post-operative care, contribute to discharge planning, and educate patients and families while maintaining policy compliance.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Nursing degree (ADN/BSN/MSN) required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification required within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Formulate a plan of care and revise it based on patient response.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs and goals.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per hospital policy.
• Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff per standards of practice.
• Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care.
• Educate patients and families on care and treatments.
