Centric Brands in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced fashion designer focusing on women's ready-to-wear. You will translate concepts into technical flats, develop woven and knit categories, and manage the design backend through pre-production.

The role requires a strong eye for fit, color, fabrication, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet calendar milestones and margin goals. A Bachelor's in Fashion Design and 5+ years' experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• 5+ years experience in women's ready-to-wear design across categories.
• Strong understanding of woven fabrics, garment construction, patternmaking, and fit across knits, wovens, tailoring & outerwear.
• Bonus: sweater design and knitwear construction experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, PLM systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for product, attention to detail, and strong eye for color, proportion, fabrication, and styling.

Responsabilités

• Seasonal concept & trend development for women's RTW.
• Design and develop woven and knit categories from concept to pre-production.
• Create detailed technical sketches in Illustrator and start spec packages.
• Partner with Technical Design on fit, construction, and refinements.
• Oversee sample development with mills, trims, and factories.
• Maintain design boards, digital archives, and PLM entries.
• Ensure timely delivery against the development calendar.
• Prepare and present seasonal collections for leadership, sales, and showroom meetings.
