Job summary

WestCare Inc in Pembroke Pines, FL seeks a qualified clinician to join an interdisciplinary treatment team, developing treatment plans and delivering integrated therapies for women with co-occurring disorders.

You will supervise staff, conduct psychosocial groups, provide individual therapy, and ensure compliance with agency and state standards while engaging families and maintaining charts and records as required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience providing alcohol and/or drug treatment or recovery services.
• One year of supervision/management experience, preferably in a residential setting.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical activities for integrated substance abuse and mental health services for women with co-occurring disorders.
• Provide leadership to the Treatment Team to collaboratively conduct psychosocial groups and provide rehabilitation skills training.
• Work with Counselors, Family Service Specialists, and others to integrated services during residential treatment, including mediation monitoring, symptom management, monitoring vital signs, and working on health issues, and participation in psychosocial groups provided by the treatment teams.
• Conduct psychosocial groups on Socialization, Medication Management, Supportive Psychotherapy, chemical Dependency Issues, Gender Specific Issues, Stress Inoculation training, Hygiene, Budgeting, and Problem Solving.
• Develop specialized groups for lesbian, bigender, and transsexual issues of clients with dual disorders.
• Provide individual therapy to clients with symptoms of mental illness and monitor progress in treatment.
• Seek out and engage family members and encourage their participate.
• Supervise the screening and assignment of cases referred for mental health services.
• Assist staff at arriving at solutions to client problems as they relate to mental health issues.
• Participate in staff training, and development and implementation of the quality improvement process as it relates to therapy.
• Responsible for maintaining the client charts in compliance with agency, state and any other rules and standards; and
• Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation; and
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
