Job summary

Madewell is seeking a Senior Manager of Print & Pattern Design to lead CAD development of prints, stripes, plaids, graphics, and colorways across Women’s apparel and accessories. You translate seasonal concepts into production-ready artwork and collaborate with Design and Sourcing to ensure on-brand execution.

You’ll mentor CAD designers, oversee workflow, and drive the evolution of Madewell’s print identity, keeping pace with industry tools and techniques to deliver elevated, scalable artwork.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of CAD, print, or pattern design in apparel/textiles.
• 2+ years leading, mentoring, or managing designers or CAD artists.
• Expert in NedGraphics or Kaledo and Adobe Creative Suite for production-ready artwork.
• Strong knowledge of stripe, plaid, and graphic construction across knit and woven fabrics.
• Attention to colorway accuracy with ability to communicate decisions to leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead CAD illustration and development of prints, stripes, plaids, and graphics for seasonal colorways.
• Translate concepts into production-ready CAD artwork and colorways, hands-on from concept to production.
• Collaborate with Design, Technical Design, and sourcing to ensure CAD-to-product accuracy.
• Mentor CAD designers and build team capabilities in print and colorway execution.
• Oversee CAD workflow and seasonal priorities with clear processes to support production timelines.
• Stay current on CAD software and print techniques to improve artwork speed and quality.
• Maintain an organized archive of all print resources for future collections.
