Job summary

Frederick Community College is seeking an Assistant Coach for Women’s Basketball to support the Head Coach in day-to-day NJCAA team operations. The role reports to the Director of Athletics and requires flexibility for travel and diverse interactions with students and staff.

Responsibilities include coaching activities, recruiting, devising coaching plans, monitoring academics, and assisting with fundraising and game-day operations. CPR/First Aid certification is required.

Qualifications

• One year of coaching or playing experience at high school or collegiate level.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability as a positive role model to student athletes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach to meet the needs of the position.
• Instruct student athletes on game rules, changes, and developments.
• Help recruit academically and athletically qualified prospective student athletes.
• Work evenings and weekends as necessary.
• Observe and evaluate athletes and develop coaching plans.
• Monitor academic performance for NJCAA compliance.
• Collaborate with Facilities on fundraising activities.
• Assist with game day management as directed by the Head Coach.
• Develop scouting reports.
• Ensure compliance with NJCAA and JUCO rules.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid Certification.
