Job summary

Frederick Community College is seeking an Assistant Coach for softball to support the Head Coach with day-to-day NJCAA team operations. The role requires collaboration with the Director of Athletics and travel with the team.

Evening and weekend work is required to meet practice and competition schedules. The ideal candidate will have coaching or playing experience at high school or college level, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• One year of coaching or playing experience at the high school or collegiate level.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach to meet team needs.
• Instruct athletes on rules and developments of the sport.
• Help recruit eligible student athletes.
• Observe and evaluate athletes to help develop coaching plans.
• Monitor academic progress for compliance with NJCAA rules.
• Assist with game day management as directed by Head Coach.
