Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) in Pasadena is seeking a Resident Manager to oversee the men’s or women’s residence and beneficiaries under the guidance of the Program Administrator. You’ll promote a positive, learning-focused environment and help ensure program integrity as part of our mission to Do The Most Good.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Program graduate with continued involvement in a recovery program is preferred.
• Ability to supervise beneficiaries as revealed by experience, training, and/or interview.
• Valid Driver's License for state of employment; CA requires Class B with passenger endorsement within 45 days.
• Demonstrates integrity, resourcefulness, initiative and self-improvement.
• Support and apply the philosophy and goals of The Salvation Army ARC Program as stated in the Mission.

Responsibilities

• Ensure grounds and buildings are properly maintained and repairs scheduled.
• Supervise residence staff (desk, canteen, laundry, janitorial) and provide needed training.
• Oversee outside workers for special projects or repairs.
• Order supplies for residence operation.
• Provide orientation to new beneficiaries and communicate program requirements.
• Assign rooms/beds and conduct periodic locker checks.
• Monitor beneficiary activities, medications, meetings, and personal property records.
• Provide short-term crisis counseling and recreational programming for residents.
