URBN in Philadelphia is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support the Women’s Apparel Buying team. You will help plan product purchases, study fashion trends, manage samples and report accurately to guide inventory to meet customer demand and sales goals.

You will collaborate with internal teams and vendors, maintain assortment data, and use Island Pacific for order accuracy and basic analyses. This role emphasizes trend awareness and timely execution.

Qualifications

• Education: Fashion/merchandising degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 1-2 years in clerical, buying or retail preferred.
• Demographic knowledge: understand target customer and trends.
• Analytical: comfort with basic business metrics and OT B.
• Communication: positive, professional and timely with teams and vendors.
• Time management: plans work to meet priorities and deadlines.
• Detail orientation: focus on small details for high‑quality work.
• Ownership: take responsibility for outcomes and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Product Assortment: assist in determining mix of market and private label products using data.
• Fashion and Trend Awareness: stay updated on trends and translate into selections.
• Sample Management: manage vendor samples and organize by season.
• Data Management & Reporting: update assortment sheets and use Island Pacific for analyses.
• Collaboration: communicate with peers, vendors, cross functional teams; attend meetings.
