Job summary

Crossroads Turning Points in Pueblo, CO seeks a compassionate Women & Children Coordinator to screen and assess children, develop developmental profiles, and support mothers in treatment. You will work with the team to plan engaging activities aligned with each child’s needs.

Responsibilities include coordinating education efforts, connecting families with health resources, and facilitating childcare during therapy sessions. AA in Childhood Development required.

Qualifications

• AA degree in Childhood Development or related field required.
• Minimum two years of experience as a resource teacher preferred.
• Experience in Head Start, family childcare, or early education programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen and assess children by age and program requirements.
• Prepare Developmental Profiles with activities for each child.
• Coordinate and implement learning programs with the director, patients, and children.
• Provide resources and linkages for child development, health, learning, family engagement, nutrition, and mental health services.
• Facilitate parent education through parenting skills groups, literature, and research.
• Collaborate with behavioral health clinicians to integrate activities into treatment plans.
• Refer to pediatric healthcare for perinatal effects of maternal substance misuse and for follow-up care.
• Facilitate childcare during therapy or treatment activities.
• Manage a caseload of children and families, providing individualized services.
