Din Tai Fung North America is seeking a Wok Line Cook to prepare, cook and plate wok line items in a fast-paced environment. You will learn recipes, ensure ingredient quality, and plate dishes following Din Tai Fung’s guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Learns all Wok recipes, cook times, and cooking techniques per Din Tai Fung’s procedures.
• Checks the ingredient quality prior to beginning cooking.
• Cooks the ingredients in accordance with Din Tai Fung’s recipes.
• Plates the final product in accordance with Din Tai Fung’s plating guidelines.
• Prepares and cuts garnishes for Wok line items.
• Labels all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures.
• Attends monthly staff meetings and Wok meetings.
• Keeps all kitchen areas clean and sanitized.
• Organizes items within the walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds).
• Assists with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, including SOPs.

COMPENSATION: $ 25.75 /hour

The base salary or hourly wage range for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. About the Role:

Wok Line Cooks are responsible for preparing, cooking and plating all the wok line items.

Job Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Learns all Wok recipes, cook times, and cooking techniques per Din Tai Fung’s procedures

Supporting Functions:

• Keeps all kitchen areas clean and sanitized

• Assists with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all propriety information, including but not limited to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP’s”).
