Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for the Nursing Education team. This full-time role focuses on patient care using the nursing process and coordinating with the care team across admission to discharge.

Candidates must hold an active PA RN license or multi-state license, a BSN, and either WOCN/WCC certification or be willing to complete WOCN training. CPR, background clearances, and union affiliation are required.

Qualifications

• Active PA RN license or multi-state license via eNLC.
• BSN degree and 3+ years RN experience with wound care background.
• WOCN or WCC certification required or willingness to complete training.
• CPR certification and clear background checks (Act 34/33/73, FBI).

Responsibilities

• Provides care for a designated patient population using the nursing process.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care with the team.
• Directs and manages care delivery activities of team members.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team from admission to discharge.
• Educates patient and family considering age, culture, and learning needs.
