Job summary

The nurse will use the nursing process to coordinate care for a diverse patient population, document thoroughly, and contribute to ongoing education for patients and families.

• Provides direct nursing care following policies, procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan care for the age-appropriate population.
• Initiates, monitors and revises interdisciplinary care plans based on assessments and orders.
• Completes comprehensive patient documentation per facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provides ongoing teaching to patients and families across the continuum of care.
• Supports the development of students and new staff; may serve as a preceptor.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
