Job summary

Allegheny Health Network's Saint Vincent Hospital seeks a registered nurse specialized in wound, ostomy, and continence (WOC) to provide expert patient care, consultations, and education across acute and rehabilitative settings.

The RN WOC Nurse coordinates care, assists with ostomy management, debridement as ordered, and supports skin integrity programs while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or relevant experience as determined by the company.
• Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through the enhanced NLC.
• Preferred MSN and CWOCN certification.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process when directing or delivering care to patients with WOC needs.
• Provides consultation for skin integrity issues and develops individualized plans of care.
• Educates patients, families, and staff on wound management and ostomy care.
• Marks stoma site preoperatively and assists with post-operative care and discharge planning.
• Maintains data collection for quality indicators and supports protocol development.
