Qualifications

• Current DC RN license; WOCN or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
• Experience in acute-care or specialty wound/ostomy settings.
• Prior work in a teaching hospital is an advantage.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive skin and wound assessments.
• Develop and implement evidence-based care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on wound/ostomy care techniques, product selection, and prevention strategies.
• Contribute to hospital-wide protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
• Document care and participate in case conferences.
• Serve as a clinical resource for best practices in wound, ostomy, and continence care.
