Job summary

Jay Group is seeking a detail-oriented Wave Planner to manage daily waves, release orders, and ensure on-time shipments. You will use Manhattan WMS to build and run waves, research orders, and resolve issues while coordinating with Client Services, Shipping, and Operations.

Rely on strong PC skills, MS Office, and practical math to verify quantities and weights, with hands-on experience in carrier software and LTL/docs. This role offers growth as a WMS power user.

Qualifications

• Must understand distribution center and warehouse operations.
• Proficient PC skills and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to read safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write clear routine reports and communicate well.
• Strong math skills for counts, quantities, percentages, weights.
• Follow written, verbal or diagram instructions with multiple variables.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Build, run, and release waves daily in WMS to meet cutoffs.
• Investigate orders needing attention and drive resolution.
• Reconcile waves for ship day; ensure manifests and invoicing.
• Escalate unresolved manifests with details to resolve.
• Assist with general inventory and order reconciliation.
• Process outgoing small parcel shipments in WMS and carrier systems.
• Prepare bills of lading and LTL docs per client specs.
• Verify shipments meet client and carrier specs.
