FedEx Supply Chain is seeking an Advisor, Software Developer -- IIB to lead and contribute to software initiatives across the warehouse and enterprise systems landscape in a hybrid work model in the United States. The role emphasizes team leadership, systems thinking, and robust SDLC practices to deliver scalable solutions.

You will work with Java, ESQL, MQ, IBM Integration Bus, REST/SOAP services, and Oracle databases while mentoring peers and collaborating with senior leaders on complex

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Experience: 8 years of relevant experience.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Technical: Strong understanding of Java (1.4+), JSP, XML, HTML, JavaScript.
• Databases: Oracle 9+, SQL and PL/SQL.
• Analysis: Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and docs.
• Documentation: Ability to write reports and manuals.
• Presentation: Present information to diverse audiences.
• Problem-solving: Solve practical problems in non-standard situations.
• Professional standards: Basic understanding of industry standards.
• Customer focus: Customer service driven.

Responsibilities

• Integrate, configure, and support Sterling WMS components.
• Analyze WMS issues across inbound, outbound, and inventory workflows.
• Encode, test, debug, and document complex software.
• Review and modify core and customized software.
• Provide technical/operational support to customers.
• Mentor less senior developers and review deliverables.
• Develop tests and documentation for software life cycle.
• Design, develop, test, and support applications using listed techs.
