Job summary

Make-A-Wish Northeastern & Central California is seeking a Wish Coordinator to deliver life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. You will manage a caseload, coordinate travel and activities, and partner with volunteers, medical teams, and donors to ensure compassionate support and exceptional service throughout each family’s wish journey.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in nonprofit services, customer service, case management, or related field.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience working with children and families preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of wishes from determination through fulfillment.
• Conduct wish discovery visits and facilitate the wish planning process.
• Maintain regular communication with families and provide timely follow-up.
• Navigate sensitive family situations with empathy, professionalism, and cultural awareness.
• Create customized wish plans reflecting each child’s interests and circumstances.
• Coordinate travel, accommodations, experiences, and other wish-related arrangements.
• Seek and secure in-kind donations and discounts when appropriate.
• Request, collect, and maintain required wish documentation.
• Prepare itineraries and materials for families.
• Track and reconcile wish expenses and in-kind donations.
• Maintain records in Salesforce and other systems.
• Collaborate with volunteers, medical teams, vendors, and colleagues.
