Job summary

Ryther in Washington, DC seeks a WISe Therapist to provide comprehensive therapeutic support to children, youth and families in home and community settings. In a team framework, you will work with a Wraparound Facilitator and Parent/Youth Partner to identify goals, assess needs, and coordinate access to community resources.

You will conduct outreach to clients in their homes, schools and neighborhoods, and the position typically follows a 11-7 schedule, M-F with possible on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field and current license/registration.
• Two years' experience treating children or adolescents with emotional or behavioral issues.
• Experience with family-level intervention in publicly funded service systems.
• Experience with youth and families with complex needs is a plus.

Join us as aWISe Therapist at Ryther! We've expanded our services!Ryther is a recognized leader in behavioral health services for children, youth and their families facing complex challenges. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive services and innovative treatments. We guide, coach and teach so that every child/youth and family we work with may experience new ways of thinking, develop positive relationships, and realize a better life. Wraparound with Intensive Services, or WISe, is a new approach to helping Medicaid-eligible children, youth, and their families with intensive mental health care. Services are available in home and community settings and offer a system of care based on the individualized need of the child or youth.

Our WISe Therapist provides comprehensive therapeutic support services assisting children, youth, and families in coping with complex behavior and mental health needs. In a team framework the therapist works in close collaboration with a Wraparound Facilitator and Parent /Youth Partner to identify goals, assess needs, and coordinate access to community resources. The Therapist will conduct outreach to clients and families in their homes, school, and community.

Requirements

• Master's degree (in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy or a related field), Current Washington State DOH counselor registration or license, and Mental Health Professional certification are required.
• Two years' experience providing treatment to children or adolescents who have serious emotional or behavioral issues.
• Experience intervening on a family level within a publicly funded service system.
• Experience working with youth and families with complex needs or frequently accessing crisis services, a plus.
• Full-time, schedule may vary and typically involves an 11-7pm schedule, M-Fri with optional on call work.

$64,500-$84,880/year (DOE)
