Job description

Description

At Three Rivers Therapy, we are a mission-driven behavioral health organization dedicated to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through best-in-class clinical care. With over a decade of trusted service in Washington State, we combine compassionate therapy with innovative business practices to transform lives.

We foster a culture of engagement, high standards, and growth – all within a supportive, fun environment where both staff and patients thrive. As we expand, we remain committed to excellence and making a meaningful difference every day.

Why This Role Matters

As a WISe Therapist, you will provide intensive, community-based therapeutic services to children, youth, and families facing serious mental health challenges. Using the Wraparound process, you’ll work to enhance safety, stabilize placements, and empower clients by fostering strong natural and formal support networks. Your role is essential in promoting resilience and well-being, while helping reduce the necessity for more restrictive and costly interventions.

This position offers a flexible schedule with opportunities to provide services in home and community settings, supported by a low caseload that allows for focused, individualized care. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and work alongside child-serving agencies to ensure seamless, coordinated support. Regular weekly supervision and a supportive supervisory team will guide your professional growth and success.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Provide intensive, community-based therapeutic services to children, youth, and families with serious mental health needs using evidence-based approaches.
  • Deliver services in home and community settings to promote natural environments of healing and support.
  • Utilize the Wraparound process to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that enhance safety, stabilize living placements, and empower youth and families.
  • Collaborate actively with multidisciplinary Child and Family Teams (CFT) to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.
  • Partner with families to foster engagement and leadership in the treatment process, respecting family voice, choice, and cultural factors.
  • Participate in crisis management and contribute to on-call rotations, providing timely intervention and de‑escalation as needed.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, including mental health evaluations and risk assessments, informing care planning and service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation consistent with WISe and Medicaid requirements, including progress notes, treatment plans, and crisis plans.
  • Facilitate referrals and linkage to formal and informal community resources, including education, housing, social services, and peer support.
  • Engage in regular clinical supervision and professional development to uphold service quality and compliance with agency and state standards.
  • Advocate for youth and families within the care system, ensuring access to appropriate services and supports.
  • Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards consistent with HIPAA and professional guidelines.
Requirements

  • Willing/able to obtain WA State Agency Affiliated Counselor Certification.
  • Experience working with children and families in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to work in home and community settings.
  • Strengths-based orientation.
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
  • Acceptable driving record (full driving record required).
  • Support and contribute to a creative, collaborative and respectful environment that promotes teamwork.
  • Demonstrates the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations.
