Job summary

VIVA USA is seeking a hands‑on Wiring Harness Technician onsite to support QA test harness setup. The role focuses on low‑voltage wiring, harness assembly, and documentation in a fast‑paced team environment.

You will read wiring diagrams, perform continuity tests, and collaborate with engineering and QA to ensure reliable assemblies and on‑time delivery.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience with wiring and harness assembly.
• Ability to read and follow basic wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs (up to 50 lbs with assistance).

Responsibilities

• Build and install test wiring harnesses for internal QA.
• Cut and run Cat 6 and other low‑voltage wires to devices.
• Perform basic testing (continuity, low‑voltage).
• Document wire movements and inventory using Google Sheets.
• Use Jira and Google Workspace for task tracking and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and QA teams.
• Running wire, cutting wire, wiring setup.
• May have to run test.
• Ability to read and follow wire harness assembly instructions.

Wiring Harness Technician

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands‑on Wiring Technician to support the setup of internal QA test harnesses. This role is ideal for candidates with low‑voltage wiring experience, strong technical documentation skills, and comfort working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

• Build and install test wiring harnesses for internal QA.
• Cut and run Cat 6 and other low‑voltage wires to devices/cutting cat 6 wire and wiring to devices.
• Perform basic testing (continuity, low‑voltage).
• Document wire movements and inventory using Google Sheets.
• Use Jira and Google Workspace for task tracking and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and QA teams.
• Running wire, cutting wire, wiring setup.
• May have to run test.
• Ability to read and follow wire harness assembly instructions.
• Experience working with access control or cameras is a plus.
• Terminal experience is a plus because they can have them run test if needed.
• Terminal experience means someone with Linux terminal experience, Mac terminal experience is also acceptable.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience with wiring and harness assembly.
• Ability to read and follow basic wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs (up to 50 lbs with assistance).

Top 3 Must‑Have Skills

• Low‑voltage wiring and harness assembly — including cutting, crimping, soldering, terminating, and routing wires (e.g., Cat 6, 22 gauge).
• Tool proficiency — crimpers, wire strippers, multimeters, and soldering tools (SMT and through‑hole).
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills (Based on Winning Candidate)

• J‑STD‑001 Certification or similar.
• Experience with access control systems, cameras, or network installations (RJ45, keystones, etc.).
• Familiarity with Linux or Mac terminal environments.

QA Testing Experience

• Must‑haves: Experience running wire, cutting wire and setting up wiring for low voltage.
• Nice‑to‑have skills: Working access control and/or cameras
