Job summary

Maverick Power is seeking a Wiring Assembly Lead to assemble sub-assemblies and control equipment, train staff, and monitor quality. You will ensure safe production practices and timely completion while supervising electrical staff and coordinating with other departments.

The role requires extensive wiring experience, ability to read schematics, and strong teamwork and leadership to maintain high standards in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years wiring experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
  • Experience with reading wiring schematics and point-to-point diagrams.
  • Experience with electrical equipment manufacturing and assembly.
  • Ability to read product specifications and production standards.
  • Proficiency with computers and office software.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

  • Lead by example using 5S Methodology.
  • Prepare work schedules and assign tasks.
  • Assist supervisor in setting up the production line.
  • Optimize production line efficiency by monitoring productivity and quality.

  • Maintain inventory management and order tracking records.
  • Train and supervise new production line workers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure on-time orders.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

About the Role

The Wiring Assembly Lead is responsible for a wide range of skills including wire, assemble, fit, and mount sub-assemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. Perform assembly as required. Perform all assignments within acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping within assigned functions. Monitors the quality of work performed by electricians and assures timely completion of assigned work. Trains electrical staff including on-the-spot coaching when identifying opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that work is performed safely, and that proper use of PPE is adhered to in the area.
  • Leads by example through 5S Methodology.
  • Prepare work schedules and assign tasks accordingly.
  • Assist supervisor in setting up the production line.
  • Optimize the production line efficiency by monitoring productivity and quality.
  • Identifying and resolving production line problems in a timely manner.
  • Performing recordkeeping tasks, including inventory management and order tracking.
  • Training and supervising new production line workers.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure that orders are completed on time.
  • Maintaining a fully operational, safe, and tidy work environment.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing and assembly (panelboards / switchboards preferred)
  • Experience wiring power meters and controls.
  • Experience using various tools, including, Manual/electric/pneumatic tools, template/fixtures, hand carts, measuring and testing equipment, storage/packaging materials and prescribed safety equipment.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience with wiring in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Experience with reading wiring schematics and point to point diagrams.
  • Extensive knowledge of product specifications and production standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in computers and office software.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Must be dependable and extremely trustworthy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving techniques.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Superb leadership skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at time.
  • Prolonged periods sitting, standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and work at heights for extended periods.
  • Duties are performed in a loud production setting subject to extreme temperatures. Some duties may be required to be performed outside.
Work Environment

May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
