Job summary

Ranger Energy Services in Hobbs, NM seeks a Wireline Operator 2 under minimal supervision to perform wireline duties at the well site and shop, ensuring compliance with regulations governing wireline explosives operations.

Responsibilities include tool maintenance, rigging, tool string make-ups, and operation of logging and perforating equipment. CDL Hazmat, 1 year experience, ATF clearance, and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL with Hazardous Materials endorsement.
• Minimum 1 year of wireline operator experience.
• Must pass ATF background check.
• Knowledge of downhole tools and explosive applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for jobs by performing tool maintenance and pre-/post-job checkout.
• Assist rigging up/down wireline surface and downhole equipment.
• Assemble downhole logging tools, perforating guns, and setting tools.
• Maintain downhole and surface logging equipment and components.
• Drive company vehicles safely and maintain site records.
• Promote safe operations and participate in continuous improvement.
• Assist in training other Wireline Operators and support customer relations.
