Job summary

Baker Hughes in Olney, IL is seeking a Field Operator – Wireline. You will conduct field operations at well sites and in the shop, perform pre-job checkouts, rig up/down, service logging tools, and mentor junior operators to maintain safety and quality.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, strong mechanical aptitude, a valid CDL with HazMat or the ability to obtain one within 6 months, and the ability to work on call 24x7.

• On-call 24x7 and travel to well sites.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background check.
• Ability to use computers for reporting.
• Must be 21+ to obtain ATF explosives certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for jobs and perform tool maintenance, pre-job and post-job tool checkout.
• Rig up and rig down equipment at the well site.
• Service mechanical devices and build/logging cable heads; perforate heads.
• Maintain well site records and promote customer relations.
• Drive company vehicles safely and observe regulations; train others.
• Support safety initiatives and participate in relevant job duties.
