Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Wireline Field Operator to perform complete field and shop duties, including tool maintenance, rigging, and well-site operations. You will train junior operators, maintain records, and ensure safety on a 24x7 schedule across client sites.

A CDL with Hazmat and the ability to work with customers are essential. The role requires a high school diploma, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to pass a federal background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to drive a manual vehicle and have a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement or pass the company's driving test and obtain CDL/Hazmat within 6 months
• Able to work and communicate well with customers and employees
• Able to work on-call 24x7 and travel to well sites for extended periods
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a federal background check
• Able to use computers for communication, reporting and other work-related purposes
• Must be 21+ to obtain ATF explosives certification

Responsibilities

• Prepare for jobs and perform tool maintenance, pre-/post-job checks
• Rig-up and rig-down equipment at the well site
• Service mechanical devices and build logging cable heads
• Perforate cable heads and maintain tools
• Maintain well site/DOT records and client communications
• Promote and maintain good customer relations
• Receive instructions on routine and site activities
• Perform basic duties at well site and shop
• Drive company vehicles safely
• Participate in quality improvement for ballistics operations
• Supervise/train other Field Operators and emphasize safety
• Perform other related duties as required
