Job summary

Thayer Power & Communication Line Construction Co., LLC is seeking a Tower Technician to join the Wireless Division in Michigan. The role requires climbing towers, following safety policies, and performing modifications and installations to wireless equipment at heights.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of tower climbing experience, the ability to work at extreme heights, and a commitment to safety. Travel and extended hours may be required; a high school diploma or GED is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a tower climber.
• Ability to work at heights on rooftops or towers up to 300 feet or taller.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Background check and pre-employment drug screen required; participate in company random testing.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and practices.
• Maintain safety with 100% tie-off and proper methods.
• Safely modify, repair, and upgrade wireless equipment and antennas at height.
• Assist with tower construction activities including erecting towers and installing antennas.
• Read blueprints/CDs and execute work per customer specs.
• Site upgrades and capacity expansion; coordinate material and resources.
• Travel to job sites as required; train other team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
