Avetix Engineering in Austin is seeking an experienced Wireless Test Engineer to join a growing EMC testing lab. This hands-on role requires a strong background in wireless/radio compliance testing and the ability to work independently from day one.
You will test Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RF, and FCC Part 90/80 compliance, participate in expanding into cellular and satellite testing, and collaborate with the EMC team to build the wireless capability.
We are looking for an experienced Wireless Test Engineer to join a growing testing and compliance laboratory in Austin.
This is a hands-on role for someone with a strong background in wireless/radio compliance testing who can step in and contribute from day one. You will join an established EMC engineering team and have the opportunity to help build and develop the company's wireless testing capability.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who can operate with a high degree of independence, troubleshoot effectively and take ownership of wireless testing projects.
You will be responsible for hands-on compliance testing of wireless and radio-enabled products, working across areas including:
The laboratory is also looking to expand its capabilities into cellular and satellite testing, including FCC Part 25 and relevant European satellite standards. This creates an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to broaden their technical expertise and play a role in developing a growing wireless function.
We are looking for someone with:
A senior-level engineer would be ideal. We need someone who can be plug-and-play, rather than someone who requires significant training before taking ownership of testing work.
You will be joining a team that already has an established EMC capability, with further investment being made in the engineering function.
This will be the first dedicated Wireless Engineering hire, giving you the opportunity to help shape and develop the wireless testing capability rather than simply joining an established team and following an existing process.
There is also significant scope to expand your expertise into cellular and satellite technologies, making this particularly interesting for an engineer who wants to develop beyond traditional wireless compliance testing.
You will work closely with the existing EMC team, giving you exposure to a broad range of compliance and testing activity.
If you're an experienced Wireless, RF or Radio Test Engineer looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact and help build something, we'd like to hear from you.
