Job summary

X4 Engineering in Draper, UT is actively seeking an RF Test Engineer to join a tight-knit compliance team. The role focuses on conducting lab tests, documenting results, and developing test plans that align with product schedules.

You will partner with hardware and software teams to embed certification readiness into the lifecycle, maintain knowledge of FCC/ETSI standards, and support international certification efforts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant RF testing experience.
• Hands-on lab testing experience.
• C++ and/or Python scripting skills.
• Familiarity with FCC/ETSI RF/EMC standards and related regulations.
• Experience in certification environments is a plus.

RF Test Engineer | Compliance Lab | Draper, UT

We're hiring an RF Test Engineer to join a tight-knit, ~8-person compliance team in Draper, Utah - supporting a well-established organization with real product impact and a startup-style pace.

What you'll do:

Test products in a lab environment, write up test reports, research applicable regulatory standards, support international certification efforts, and work closely with hardware and software teams to build compliance into the product lifecycle.

What we're looking for:

• 2+ years of relevant experience (open to more senior candidates)
• Hands-on lab testing experience
• Scripting/software development skills — C++ and/or Python
• Familiarity with RF, EMC, or product safety standards such as FCC 15.247, FCC 15.407, ETSI 303 328, ETSI 301 893, and ETSI 302 502 (must-haves), plus others like FCC 15C/15B, Part 18, EN55032/35, EN301489, and EN60601
• Background from a testing lab, certification body or wireless/carrier certification environment is a strong plus
• Cybersecurity exposure is a bonus
