Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Wireless Design Verification Engineer in San Diego to play a central role in a silicon design group responsible for pre-silicon RTL verification of wireless MAC and its interfaces within the SoC.

You will collaborate with DV methodologists, designers, and systems engineers to develop reusable testbenches and verification environments, deploying metric-driven verification to ensure top-quality silicon for millions of users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 3+ years of wireless/wired verification experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Verilog, SystemVerilog, UVM, and SystemVerilog Assertion.
• Verification experience of MAC, PHY, DMA, timer, AMBA bus and fabric, encryption/decryption engine.
• Knowledge of wireless protocols (Bluetooth, UWB, WLAN, or Zigbee).

Responsibilities

• Review MAC subsystem microarchitecture and create verification plan from specification, review and refine to achieve coverage targets.
• Build block/subsystem level testbenches, create UVM libraries, architect test benches with maximum reusability.
• Develop and execute directed and constrained random tests, debug failures, manage bug tracking, and drive closure of issues.
• Create and analyze block/subsystem level coverage models, and add test cases to increase coverage.
• Use machine learning and AI technologies to identify design and test bench issues and ensure DV quality.
• Support MAC subsystem validation using Palladium and/or FPGA.
• Work with team members to improve DV methodology and flow.
