Job summary
Network Controls, LLC in Greer, SC seeks an experienced Wireless Survey & Fortinet Network Specialist to perform on-site Wi-Fi heat mapping, surveys with Ekahau, and design wireless networks to support accurate job quotes. You'll configure Fortinet FortiGate devices and manage IPsec VPNs while supporting field teams.
The role serves as the go-to for customer Wi‑Fi issues, may travel, and offers hourly pay with overtime and shift differential.
Qualifications
- Ekahau training or certification is required.
- Experience with heat mapping, site surveys, and predictive design.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise Wi‑Fi issues.
- Hands‑on Fortinet FortiGate configuration and VPN experience.
- Knowledge of firewall policies, NAT, and Fortinet SD‑WAN is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform on‑site Wi‑Fi heat mapping and predictive surveys with Ekahau.
- Analyze results to identify coverage gaps and performance issues.
- Design wireless layouts to support accurate job quotes.
- Collaborate with estimators and field teams during implementation.
- Assist in installations and train technicians on survey practices.
- Troubleshoot Wi‑Fi connectivity issues for customers.
- Configure and maintain Fortinet FortiGate VPNs and security policies.
