Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Production experience preferred but not required.
• On-the-job training from 1 to 8 weeks (up to 10 weeks if needed).
• Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge and use of hand tools.
• Sound decision making and problem-solving abilities.
• Good math, reading and writing skills.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and rethread wire winders.
• Know color coding for identification.
• Familiarization with raw material numbers.
• Adjust settings on counters for efficient bobbin footage.
• Know correct wire construction for braided hoses.
• Set traverse and operate wire stripper.
• Operate all wire winders and identify defects.
• Document good and non-conforming product; fill paperwork daily.
• Train new employees as needed.
• Pull catenaries and work overtime as required.
• Report issues to Value Stream Team Lead; perform related duties.
