Job summary

FirstBank is seeking a Wire Operations Specialist to handle all aspects of wire transfer activity and provide quality service to branch personnel and customers with wire questions, inquiries, and issues.

The role involves processing domestic and international wires, origination/verification, and supporting cash management wire access, with training provided by the department and bank programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Preferred 1+ year banking experience.
• Experience handling confidential information.
• Experience with databases, Excel and Word software.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming/outgoing domestic and international wires via correspondent banks, SharePoint, Silverlake DirectLine Wires and Treasury Management.
• Originate/verify wires using corresponding bank.
• Receive/post incoming internal and international wires from First Horizon.
• Process drawdown/reverse drawdown wire requests.
• Assist with branch and customer research requests/inquiries/issues related to wires.
• Backup for performing wire system end of day shutdown.
• Wire related customer service calls, emails and inquiries.
• Backup for the setup of cash management customers with wire access.
