Job summary

TriSearch seeks a Wire Harness Lead Trainer in Kalamazoo, MI. The role develops and leads hands-on operator training for a growing wire harness operation, establishing standardized training, qualifications, and materials to ensure consistent quality in a high-mix, quick-turn environment.

You will collaborate with manufacturing and automation engineers to build a scalable training function, driving operator productivity and first-pass yield while supporting rapid workforce growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing training, workforce development, or supervision, preferably in wire harness/cable assembly.
• Hands-on wire harness knowledge: prep, crimping, routing, assembly, testing.
• Strong understanding of IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards and harness quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead hands-on operator training for wire harness assembly, equipment operation, processes and quality standards.
• Train operators in wire preparation, cutting, stripping, crimping, routing, assembly and electrical testing.
• Create standardized training materials, digital work instructions, and practical skills assessments.
• Establish operator qualification and certification processes aligned with IPC/WHMA-A-620.
• Teach operators to use manufacturing interfaces, WIs, and production workflows.
• Evaluate proficiency through hands-on assessments and quality sign-offs.
• Partner with engineers to continuously improve training as processes evolve.
• Scale programs to support rapid workforce growth and improve productivity and quality.
