Veza Manufacturing, LLC in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Engineering Leader to actively design and develop wire harness assemblies while supporting quoting and continuous improvement. You will lead a hands-on team and interface directly with customers to deliver manufacturable solutions.

This role demands technical depth, leadership, and a player/coach mentality to drive engineering excellence through metrics and PPAP readiness, while aligning with Sales, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering required; master's preferred.
• 5–7+ years of engineering experience in wire harness manufacturing, with 2+ years in leadership.
• Proven quoting and estimating for low-to-medium volume harness production.
• Strong customer communication and collaboration in technical discussions.
• Proficiency with harness design tools: Zuken E3, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical.
• Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620, UL, SAE, MIL-SPEC standards.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and change control processes.

Mansioni

• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team for wire harness design and production support.
• Serve as technical liaison with customers; conduct design reviews and resolve issues.
• Partner with Quoting team to own bids and manage NPI process including materials and overhead.
• Oversee creation of harness drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Drive product and process improvements to reduce cost and improve quality.
• Support launch of new programs including PPAP validation and customer approvals.
• Troubleshoot production issues and lead root cause and corrective action initiatives.
• Manage engineering change requests and ensure timely implementation.
• Collaborate with Sales, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain to align engineering initiatives.
