Job summary

Teledyne Technologies is seeking an experienced Wire & Harness Electronics Assembler in a high‑reliability manufacturing environment in San Diego. You will support complex cable and harness assemblies, perform wire preparation, crimping, soldering, and FAI builds, and interpret detailed drawings and schematics with minimal supervision.

The role emphasizes meticulous attention to detail, quality checks, and the ability to work overtime as required to meet production goals.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on wire and cable harness assembly experience.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
Experience with wire stripping, tinning, crimping, and soldering.
Experience with First Article Assembly (FAI) builds.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.

Responsibilities

Perform complex wire and cable harness assembly including routing and terminations.
Hand solder and de-solder wires and connectors using through-hole techniques.
Prepare wires (stripping, tinning, lead prep) and termination.
Crimp and secure wires with hand and crimp tools.
Assemble harnesses per electrical schematics and BOMs.
Support First Article Assembly (FAI) builds and provide feedback.
Perform in-process inspections and basic continuity testing.
Troubleshoot defects and perform rework.
Maintain production documentation and quality logs.
Follow safety procedures and train others as needed.
