Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking an Assembly Technician (Temp to Hire) in Dallas, TX. The role centers on preparing and hand-soldering wire and cable connectors, splices, and sockets for the molding process according to defined procedures.

Responsibilities include following drawings and BOMs, using hand and power tools, inspecting parts, and ensuring safety and quality standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• 5 years electro-mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment including reading and interpreting detailed electronic drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Prior hand soldering experience; wire and cable soldering highly preferred.
• US Person status for ITAR access; cross-training across assemblies may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs fine hand soldering using a soldering iron and magnifying glass.
• Follows detailed production drawings, sample assemblies and verbal instructions under general supervision.
• Interprets and works from drawings, work instructions and bills of materials to understand required parts and steps.
• Works on assembled components with manual dexterity using basic hand tools and soldering equipment.
• Inspects parts for quality and performs basic testing throughout the assembly process.
