Job summary

Border States Industries, Inc. in Fargo, ND is seeking a Warehouse Associate - Wire Cutter to support wire cutting operations in the warehouse.

You will run the wire machine, maximize cuts per reel, and identify wire from reel labels while maintaining batch codes and logbooks. The role includes handling daily wire material orders, updating logs, and coordinating with other departments to address damages and shortages.

Qualifications

• 2 year business/trade degree or equivalent work experience.
• Prior warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation and knowledge of electrical products/systems preferred.
• If the employee will be driving, candidate must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate the wire machine safely and effectively.
• Identify wire by reel labels and maintain batch codes.
• Identify top and bottom footages on cuts completed.
• Perform basic math to maximize cuts per master reel.
• Update and maintain the wire cut log and daily machine inspection sheets.
• Fill special orders and/or backorders as material is received and deliver to customers.
• Distribute material to proper stock locations and ensure accurate labeling/inventory.
