Job summary

Border States Industries, Inc. in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Warehouse Associate - Wire Cutter to support wire cutting operations. You will run the wire machine, identify wire by reel labels, and maintain batch codes, logs, and daily inspections.

You will fill orders and backorders as material is received and coordinate with other departments on damages or shortages. Required: 2-year degree or equivalent, warehouse experience including forklift preference, valid driver’s license if driving,

Qualifications

• 2 year business/trade degree or equivalent work experience.
• Warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation and knowledge of electrical products/systems preferred.
• If driving, be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and potential medical certification.
• PC skills: Windows, Internet, email; SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate wire machine safely and efficiently.
• Identify wire by reel labels and maintain batch codes.
• Identify top and bottom footages on cuts completed.
• Perform basic math to maximize cuts per master reel.
• Update and maintain the wire cut log and daily inspection sheets.
• Fill orders and backorders as material is received.
• Pack materials for delivery and ensure proper stock locations.
• Inform relevant departments of stock outs or inventory discrepancies.
